Campsite · Monaro Alpine fire district, NSW
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Campfires are only permitted during fire season which is determined by the Victorian CFA. To ensure safety and environmental responsibility, campfires are permitted only in designated fire bins or pits. Firepit Rentals & Firewood Sales: Firepits are available for rent at $8 per stay—please inquire at reception for availability. Bags of firewood can be purchased for $24 at reception or from designated locations within the park. Fire Safety & Supervision: Fires must be always attended by a responsible adult. Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the site or retiring for the night. No fires are permitted on total fire ban days or during extreme weather conditions.”
