Campfires in NSW national parks are only permitted in designated areas with provided fireplaces or fire rings — many parks prohibit them entirely. Check the park's page and alerts before travelling.
Use provided fireplaces only; bring your own firewood; solid-fuel fires prohibited during Total Fire Bans.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Can we bring our own fire-pit/BBQ? Yes, we allow fire pits and coal or wood-fire BBQs from 1 May to 1 September only. Remember that your fire pit needs to be contained and 30cm off the ground and must be extinguished by 10pm each night. You're welcome to use your gas or electric BBQ all year round.”
