Campsite · South East Coast fire district, QLD
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Camp fires are permitted in existing fire pits only. Fires are not to be left unattended and must be extinguished prior to going to bed and / or leaving your camp site. Seasoned hardwood can be purchased from the office and kindling can be collected along the edge of the rainforest. You are welcome to bring your own wood, but no treated wood or any wood with nails or screws in it.”
