Campsite · Peninsula fire district, QLD
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“We do permit campfires at Palmerville private sites only, please note that there are established fire pits for your convenience, please do not create more. Also be aware that at certain times of the year there will be total fire bans including campfires, always be prepared with gas powered equipment.”
