Campsite · Central fire district, VIC
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“We allow campfires in our Portarlington Holiday Park within approved fire pits available to hire and on a seasonal basis. In 2026, you can hire a fire pit and purchase timber for use on a limited number of casual campsites from 1 May to 11 October 2026 (or until the start of the Fire Danger Period, if declared).”
