Campsite · West and South Gippsland fire district, VIC
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Yes! Raised camp fire pits are permitted at BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park. We have fire pits for hire and fire wood guests can purchase. Fire Restrictions are currently not in place, don't forget the marshmellows at Happy Hour! For more information on fire restrictions please visit the CFA's 'Can I or Can't I?' page. BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park reserves the right to put in place fire restrictions at our own discretion. Thank you for helping us preserve the natural beauty of South Gippsland while prioritizing everyone's safety.”
