Campsite · Central fire district, VIC
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Fire pits, including both individual hire units and communal fire areas, are available for guest use during the cooler months only and only allowed on sites, not cabins. They may be used exclusively between 1 March and 30 September each year. Outside of this period (1 October to 28/29 February), fire pits are not available due to total fire bans and increased fire risk. Use of fire pits is always subject to prevailing weather conditions. Fire pits must not be used when the temperature exceeds 30°C, during periods of high wind, or when CFA fire restrictions or bans are in effect. Park management reserves the right to prohibit the use of fire pits at any time, at their absolute discretion, if conditions are deemed unsafe. This decision is final and not subject to negotiation. All fire pit use must comply with the safety requirements outlined in the Fire Pit Handout, which is issued to guests upon check-in. As part of these requirements, fire pits must be positioned minimum 30cm off the ground, and a bucket of water must be kept within close proximity at all times. A limited number of fire pits are available for hire for a fee. Hired fire pits will be delivered and positioned by park staff to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Failure to follow fire pit rules and safety instructions may result in the immediate removal of fire pit equipment and/or eviction from the park, without refund.”
