Campfires in Victorian parks are only permitted in fireplaces provided, and only outside the Fire Danger Period restrictions and Total Fire Ban days. Many parks are fuel-stove-only.

“Individual fires or hot coal BBQs are NOT permitted in the park. A communal fire pit is available. – Someone must be in attendance at all times while the fire is alight. Fires must be properly extinguished at night. There is to be no wood left on departure. Total Fire Ban Days there is to be no fires or BBQ's. No fires if wind exceeds 10 km/h.”
