Campsite · Southern Forests fire district, WA
This is a privately operated campground — the operator sets the fire rules. Many allow campfires in fire rings outside fire ban periods. Contact them before you travel.
A declared fire ban always overrides the operator's rules.
Their website says (checked 12 July 2026, not yet operator-confirmed)
“Fires are only permitted in fire pots provided or approved by Fonty's Pool. Limit of one fire pot per group. Fires are only permitted during burning season. Fires are to be kept small to avoid sparks and if conditions become windy, fires are not permitted at all. You are responsible for supervising your fire at all times and making sure it is not left unattended. Be aware that children may visit your fire when unattended. Firewood is available for purchase from the front office for $25 a bag. Only firewood supplied by Fonty's Pool, or similar (eg bags from service station or Bunnings), is to be used in the park to regulate quality and size of wood. Fires are not to be lit in pots on the morning of departure so that they are cool enough for you to return to the fire pot storage area.”
